Community Policing training in Quetta builds trust as 25 officers, including 10 women, adopt people-centered policing under Deliver Justice.

UNODC in Quetta wrapped up a three-day Community Policing training held from 6 to 8 October 2025 under the EU-funded Deliver Justice Project, aimed at narrowing the gap between police and citizens across Balochistan.

Twenty-five police officers, including ten women, took part in sessions designed to reimagine policing as a partnership with local communities. The training focused on community policing principles, conflict resolution techniques, local problem-solving approaches, and upholding human rights in day-to-day policing.

Through interactive exercises and role‑based discussions, participants explored how listening, sustained dialogue and collaborative action can enhance public safety and rebuild trust between police and the communities they serve in their districts.

The programme promotes a clear shift toward people-centered policing, encouraging officers to work in close partnership with citizens to strengthen peace, confidence and access to justice across Balochistan.
