e-Procurement training at National Police Academy Islamabad trained ASPs on legal rules and system benefits, promoting secure accessible procurement in Punjab.

The Punjab Information Technology Board partnered with the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority to deliver e-Procurement training at the National Police Academy Islamabad for Assistant Superintendents of Police (UT) of the 51st CTP. The session focused on practical use of the e-Procurement platform and its role in modernising government purchasing across Punjab.

Sahibzadi Wasimah Umar, Managing Director of the PPRA, explained the legal and regulatory framework that guides procurement in the province, clarifying compliance requirements and the responsibilities of procurement officers. Her remarks emphasised how adherence to rules strengthens transparency and accountability in public procurement.

Muhammad Ashfaq Tiwana, Joint Director e-Procurement at PITB, outlined the technical scope of the system and highlighted its benefits for government departments and vendors. He described how the e-Procurement platform streamlines tender submission, reduces paperwork and provides a secure digital environment for bid management.

The training underlined that the e-Procurement system enables vendors to submit bids from any location, improving access and competition while helping police procurement units manage purchases more efficiently. For law enforcement and other public bodies in Punjab, the move toward digital procurement promises greater convenience, security and procedural clarity.
