Pakistan Fan Replacement Program Aims for Energy Savings

Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the Prime Minister’s “Fan Replacement Program,” emphasizing its role in energy conservation, financial inclusion, and economic stability, with the initiative’s first phase expected to start by the end of this month.

During the meeting, a detailed briefing was presented, focusing on the preparations, banking system integration, and the timeline for launching the project. Officials shared insights regarding operational readiness and highlighted the coordination between various stakeholders involved in the program.

Minister Aurangzeb emphasized the significance of this initiative, highlighting that replacing traditional fans with energy-efficient models would considerably reduce power consumption. He further underlined that such energy-saving measures play a vital role in improving financial inclusion and achieving broader economic stability.

The meeting concluded with participants expressing confidence in the timely initiation of the first phase.
