**Federal Board Announces Results for Class 9 and 10 Annual Examinations; Female Students Excel in Top Positions**

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad has announced the results for the annual examinations of Class 9 and 10 for the year 2025, revealing strong academic performances—particularly among female students who secured many of the top positions. The pass percentage for Class 9 stood at 62.18%, while Class 10 recorded a significantly higher pass rate of 88.51%.

According to the results released by FBISE, Maryam Nadeem from Army Public School, Mahfooz Road, Rawalpindi secured the first position in the matric science group by scoring 1,093 marks. Amina Nasir of Lahore Grammar School, The Mall, Wah Cantt, achieved second place with 1,087 marks. Third position was jointly held by Alesha Saqib of Amlah Foundation School and College, Misrial Road, Rawalpindi, and Fatima Wajid from Army Public School and College for Girls, Attock, each obtaining 1,083 marks.

In the humanities group, Sana Bibi of Shining Star Public School, Allama Iqbal Colony, Rawalpindi Cantt, secured the top spot with 1,045 marks. The second position went to Abdul Rehman from Institute of Islamic Science, Satra Meel, Islamabad, who scored 1,029 marks, while Muhammad Sufyan Ahmed from the same institute earned the third place with 1,022 marks.

During the result announcement ceremony, FBISE Chairman Dr. Ikram Ali Malik briefed the Federal Minister for Education, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, about the examination system and congratulated the high-achieving students. Dr. Siddiqui, addressing the gathering as the chief guest, extended his felicitations to the successful students and highlighted the significance of nurturing the country’s youth.

He stressed that Pakistan’s rising generation is an invaluable asset, with around 180 million young people capable of meeting the nation’s development needs. Dr. Siddiqui remarked that, much like China, Pakistan must focus on transforming its population into a source of strength by equipping them with modern education and practical skills. He also noted the impressive performance of female students, urging society to recognize and create space for their talents and contributions.

The minister underscored the importance of the coming decade as a period of significant change and opportunity, encouraging all stakeholders to prepare the youth to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.
