The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has pledged to further enhance the transparency and reliability of its examination system through active consultation with various stakeholders. The move comes after recent elections witnessed record victories by members of APSCA (All Pakistan Clerks Association), Private Schools Network (PSN), and allied organizations. Newly elected members of the FBISE Board of Governors were congratulated in a recent gathering attended by senior educational leaders and board officials.

Addressing the gathering, Professor Dr. Ikram Ali Malik, Chairman of the Federal Board, underscored his commitment to continuous improvement of the examination process. He stressed the importance of collaboration, stating that “By working together, we will ensure the examination system achieves an unprecedented level of transparency, thus increasing trust among students, parents, and educational institutions alike.” Dr. Malik also announced the establishment of a special reserve fund designed to benefit deserving students through the ongoing educational reforms.

Echoing similar sentiments, Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain highlighted the remarkable success achieved by APSCA, PSN, and their allied bodies during the recent elections. Dr. Hussain appreciated the Board Chairman and his team’s initiative for successfully implementing e-voting in these elections for the very first time. He underscored that such breakthroughs in electoral transparency strengthen the democratization process within educational governance.

The Founder and Central President of the Private Schools Network Islamabad, Dr. Muhammad Afzal Babar, praised the effectiveness of APSCA and PSN bodies from central, provincial, zonal, and general tiers. He asserted that these representative bodies have clearly demonstrated their position as the authentic voices for affiliated educational institutions. “Today’s educational landscape demands leadership that is competent, education-friendly, and sincerely devoted to resolving issues positively,” Dr. Babar stated.

Secretary FBISE, Dr. Muhammad Arshad, and Controller of Examinations, Madam Fatima Tahira, also extended congratulations to the newly elected Board of Governors’ members, particularly highlighting Professor M.K. Mughal and Dr. Rukhsana Khan, who have taken key positions. Dr. Ikram Ali Malik expressed his desire to form committees comprising the newly elected members, dedicated exclusively to crafting and implementing reform measures.

Prominent educational figures including Professor M.K. Mughal and Dr. Rukhsana Khan were warmly welcomed during a congratulatory meeting attended by various office holders. The meeting saw the active participation of leaders including divisional president Rawalpindi APSCA, Irfan Mazhar Kayani, APSCA central general secretary, Ashraf Haraj, central vice president Raja Javed Iqbal, divisional general secretary Rawalpindi Muhammad Ibrahim, general secretary Rawalpindi Chaudhry Iftikhar, and leader Sardar Figar, among other prominent officials.

This new wave of collaborative leadership is expected to significantly enhance the operational effectiveness and public trust in the Federal Board’s examination system, thereby ensuring greater benefits to all affiliated educational institutions and, most importantly, to the students they serve.
