FPCCI and UBG welcome DGTO extension of membership renewal to April 20, 2026, easing registration for trade bodies across Pakistan.

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Atif Ikram Sheikh and SM Tanvir, Patron in Chief of United Business Group, welcomed the Director General Trade Organizations decision to extend the membership renewal deadline for trade bodies by three weeks to 20 April 2026.

Originally set for 31 March 2026, the deadline was shifted after FPCCI formally requested extra time citing challenges faced by chambers and associations due to reduced working hours during the holy month of Ramadan and the subsequent Eid holidays. On behalf of the FPCCI leadership, Vice President Tariq Jadoon Khan, Karim Aziz Malik of Capital House and Malik Sohail Hussain, chairman coordination and president of Hafizabad Chamber, actively followed up to secure the notification.

Leaders from FPCCI and UBG thanked the DGTO for granting the extension and for giving the matter personal attention. They said the additional time will facilitate smoother registration and membership renewal for trade bodies and provide meaningful relief to the business community across the country.

Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh reiterated FPCCI’s commitment to protecting the interests of Pakistan’s business community and said the extended deadline will help chambers and associations complete the renewal process effectively ahead of the new 20 April 2026 cutoff.
