G H Travel & Tours, a leading tour operator based in Islamabad, has pledged to promote Ethiopia tourism across Pakistan following a meeting at the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad. CEO Mr. Ghulam Haider Roghani met with Mr. Chalachew Eshetie, Chargรฉ dโAffaires ad Interim, where both sides underlined the potential for strengthened travel ties between the two countries.
The two parties agreed to leverage digital platforms to motivate Pakistani travel enthusiasts to explore Ethiopia, outlining plans for coordinated online outreach and information sharing. The embassy assured G H Travel & Tours of full support to develop collaborative initiatives that highlight Ethiopia as a destination for Pakistani travellers.
Mr. Chalachew Eshetie briefed Mr. Roghani on Ethiopiaโs tourism assets, describing the country as a Land of Origins and home to more than 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites, both tangible and intangible. Emphasis was placed on Ethiopiaโs diverse culture and heritage as key draws for visitors from Pakistan.
By combining the local reach of an Islamabad-based operator with embassy backing and targeted digital campaigns, stakeholders aim to create clearer travel pathways and raise awareness of Ethiopia tourism among Pakistani audiences. Both sides expressed optimism that enhanced cooperation will open new opportunities for tour operators and travellers alike.
