ISLAMABAD, Aug 15, 2026: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah, particularly the people of Pakistan, on the commencement of the sacred month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
In a message issued by the Senate Secretariat, he said the blessed month holds special significance as it is associated with the birth of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), whose life and teachings are a timeless message of mercy, peace, love, tolerance and brotherhood for all humanity.
The Chairman Senate said the Seerat-e-Tayyaba of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provides complete guidance for every aspect of life and teaches the values of justice, equality, compassion, patience, tolerance and respect for the rights of others.
He urged the nation to renew its commitment to follow the noble teachings and example of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and promote peace, harmony and brotherhood in society.
Gilani also called upon people to remember the poor, needy and vulnerable segments of society and share their happiness with them.
He paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the security, sovereignty and defence of Pakistan, praying for elevation of their ranks and patience for their families.
The Chairman Senate prayed that Allah Almighty bless Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah with peace, prosperity, unity and stability, protect the country from all challenges, and grant strength to truly follow the Seerat and noble example of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
