Seventy-four of Pakistan’s brightest students from twenty-six educational boards travelled to Ankara on 4 November 2025 under the Prime Minister’s Initiative for High Achievers (Phase II), spending a day focused on global education, innovation and cultural exchange. The delegation’s programme deepened the students’ exposure to international academic standards and prospects for study abroad, reflecting the goals of the High Achievers initiative.
The group held an interactive session with the Turkish Minister of National Education at the Ministry of National Education, engaging in dialogue about education reform, youth leadership and bilateral cooperation. Students discussed practical pathways for collaboration and how lessons from Turkiye could inform Pakistan’s own educational reforms, a core interest for many of the High Achievers.
Visits to the YTB (Türkiye Scholarships Programme) and the Middle East Technical University allowed students to explore higher education options and witness Turkiye’s strengths in science and technology. Time at the National Library of Türkiye and a visit to the Pakistan Embassy School in Ankara offered insights into academic heritage and community ties that support Pakistani students abroad.
Students described the experience as “inspiring,” “eye-opening,” and “a lifetime opportunity,” expressing gratitude for the chance to learn directly from Turkish institutions. The delegation’s itinerary, organised by MoFEPT, reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to nurturing globally minded youth and highlighted practical steps toward educational collaboration.
Officials said the visit strengthened the enduring bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye and opened avenues for scholarships and institutional exchange, underlining the value of the Prime Minister’s Initiative for High Achievers in preparing the next generation of Pakistani leaders.
