Coach Raziuddin Ahmad launches Pakistan's first Shuttle Feeding Machine to modernize badminton training and upskill coaches and players nationwide.

In Rawalpindi international coach Raziuddin Ahmad unveiled Pakistan’s first advanced Shuttle Feeding Machine, a step aimed at modernizing badminton training for youth boys and girls across the country. The new equipment is intended to help players develop consistent shot-making, speed and accuracy under structured practice routines.

Coach Raziuddin Ahmad brings strong credentials to the initiative as a UKCC Level 2 certified coach and a former National Coach at the 11th South Asian Games in Bangladesh in 2010. He also led Pakistan’s team at the ISF World Schools Badminton Championship in Malta in 2016 and has attended coaching programs and sports conferences in Austria, the USA, the UK, Glasgow, Switzerland, Greece, Denmark, Peru, the UAE, France, the Czech Republic and Jordan.

Having participated in the IOC Medical Commission Congress in Athens, Coach Razi emphasised the importance of scientific and medicine-free training methods, and said the Shuttle Feeding Machine will be a milestone for badminton development in Pakistan. He underlined that the primary aim is to raise the standard of Pakistani shuttlers and prepare them to compete successfully on the global podium.

To introduce the new technology to local coaches and educators, Coach Razi organised a two-day Badminton Coaching Seminar on 9–10 May 2026 at Shalimar Club. The sessions focused on the practical use of the Shuttle Feeding Machine for school-level beginners as well as professional players, with hands-on demonstrations and coaching drills tailored to different age groups and skill levels.

About 40 male and female physical educationists and coaches from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan attended the seminar, showing keen interest in modern coaching methods and advanced training techniques. Participants worked on improving footwork, speed, accuracy and consistency, and discussed ways to integrate the Shuttle Feeding Machine into regular training programs at schools and clubs.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by coaches, educators and sports enthusiasts who described it as a significant step towards the modernization and future growth of badminton in Pakistan. By providing access to advanced training tools and upskilling local coaches, the project aims to build a stronger talent pipeline and elevate the country’s presence in international badminton.
