**IBCC and Cricket Legend Mohammad Yousuf Launch International Cricket Coach Education and UK Training Programmes in Pakistan**

In a significant development for sports and academic leadership in Pakistan, the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has inked two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with iLearn, the Learning Resource Network (LRN), and the Lewis School of English, UK. The agreements pave the way for Pakistan’s first internationally recognized Cricket Coach Management qualification, as well as a UK-based Teacher and Leadership Training Programme for academic professionals. Legendary cricketer and former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf joins the initiative as Supervisor of Cricket Coach Education.

The MoUs, signed at the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad, bring together expertise from multiple organizations: Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director IBCC; Mr. Javeed Anwar, Director iLearn; Mr. Rehan Shahid, CEO LRN; and Mr. Alistair Walker, CEO Lewis School of English. Senior officials and dignitaries, including top directors from both IBCC and the international partners, witnessed the landmark event.

Under the collaboration, two main programmes will be launched. The first, the Cricket and Sports Management Programme, introduces an international standard of cricket coach training in Pakistan. Targeting students aged 13–18, the course will deliver LRN-certified qualifications, include mentorship by Mohammad Yousuf, organize national tournaments, and provide opportunities for UK-based exchanges at the Lewis School of English. The initiative aims to nurture future coaches through structured academic and sports pathways.

The second programme, a Teacher and Leadership Training initiative, is designed to enhance the professional development of educational leaders from Pakistan. Participants will travel to the UK to receive three days of intensive training at the Lewis School, engage in academic orientation at Solent University, and take part in educational visits to Oxford and London. The programme is expected to build institutional capacity within IBCC and participating schools, and successful candidates will receive internationally recognized certifications.

The agreements underscore IBCC’s strategy to bring global standards to Pakistan’s education sector and strengthen co-curricular excellence. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director IBCC, emphasized the importance of such initiatives: “We are pleased to launch these pioneering programmes that promote global academic collaboration, sports education, and leadership capacity building in Pakistan’s academic landscape.”

Mohammad Yousuf expressed pride in the initiative, highlighting cricket’s deep significance in Pakistan and the importance of structured developmental pathways: “Through this programme, we’re creating structured, academic pathways for future coaches and leaders.”

Dr. Muhammad Zohaib Tariq, CEO LRN, noted the alignment with LRN’s mission to enable transformation through education and sports, while Alistair Walker, CEO of Lewis School of English, praised the partnership’s commitment to empowerment and international cooperation.

The ceremony was attended by prominent representatives from all partner organizations, reinforcing the collaborative commitment to driving innovation in Pakistan’s education and sports sectors. These initiatives are seen as a major step towards equipping Pakistan’s youth and educators with the tools, exposure, and skills needed to excel on both national and international stages.
