The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony at its headquarters in Islamabad. The event, held at the IBCC’s H-9 office, brought together officials and staff to honor the country’s legacy and reaffirm their commitment to national progress.
The national flag was raised by IBCC Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, joined by Director General Muhammad Usman Khan and Director Administration Muneeb Javeed. The ceremony included special activities to mark the occasion, including the cutting of a celebratory cake.
State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, was also present at the event. She participated in the celebrations, joined the cake-cutting ceremony, and planted a palm tree sapling as part of a green initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.
In a special message for the IBCC podcast, Ms. Qamar highlighted the significant proportion of Pakistan’s population made up by young people, encouraging them to play a vital role in the country’s development. She urged youth to engage in the government’s “Uran Pakistan” program, which is designed to enable effective participation across all sectors of society. She underscored the government’s commitment, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, to empower and equip young people for a brighter and more prosperous future.
Furthering the spirit of growth and resilience, Dr. Mallah also planted a palm tree sapling during the event. Addressing the youth of Pakistan, he encouraged them to dream ambitiously, work with dedication, and uphold high moral standards. Dr. Mallah emphasized the importance of building a nation that instills pride among its citizens and stands as a positive example to the world.
