The Islamabad Capital Territory Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority has launched a major information technology upgrade as part of a drive to adopt a fully paperless system. The move aims to strengthen transparency and boost efficiency across the regulatory framework for private educational institutions in the federal capital, with ICT-PEIRA paperless processes at the centre of the plan.
The upgraded platform will allow online processing of applications, centralised record management and improved inter-departmental coordination, significantly reducing reliance on manual paperwork. Officials say the new system will make routine interactions with the authority faster for institutions and stakeholders while improving data integrity and real-time access to records.
The digitisation initiative is presented as a step toward modernising public services and aligns with the federal government’s broader e-governance objectives. Authorities expect the upgrade to enhance service delivery, cut turnaround times and strengthen data security measures as ICT-PEIRA paperless workflows replace legacy processes.
Deployment will follow a phased schedule, with modules rolled out in stages and full implementation anticipated in the coming months.
