The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in partnership with the Center for Climate Diplomacy at COPAIR, organised an interactive seminar on climate diplomacy and climate cooperation at the IIUI campus that engaged youth climate ambassadors from across the country.
Participants examined practical strategies to advance Pakistan’s Climate Diplomacy, discussed mechanisms for stronger regional collaboration, and explored how youth-led initiatives can contribute to a more resilient and sustainable future for communities vulnerable to climate impacts.
The event highlighted the importance of empowering young leaders and connecting academic insights with diplomatic practice to shape climate-conscious policymaking. Speakers and attendees focused on actionable steps for amplifying Pakistan’s voice in international climate discussions while strengthening local and regional partnerships.
Organisers emphasised that the IIUI and COPAIR collaboration seeks to sustain youth engagement, promote collaborative projects, and build a bridge between academic research and real-world climate diplomacy efforts that can deliver tangible benefits for Pakistan and the wider region.
