Under the District Health Office Islamabad, the Intensified Outreach Activity (IOA) campaign is underway from April 24 to 30, 2026 as part of World Immunization Week. The IOA campaign aims to ensure timely and complete delivery of essential vaccines to children who have missed routine immunization.

The drive focuses on zero dose children, those who missed a scheduled vaccine, and children with incomplete vaccination series. Remote and underserved communities where health services are limited or absent are being specially targeted so that no child remains unreached by life‑saving vaccines.
Field teams in Islamabad are operating through detailed microplanning supported by strict monitoring, prompt data reporting and adaptive strategies to boost vaccination coverage. The IOA campaign combines on-the-ground outreach with careful supervision to close immunity gaps and protect children from preventable diseases.
District Health Office officials underline that complete immunization is a right for every child. For information or assistance related to the IOA campaign and local vaccination activities, parents and caregivers can contact the 1166 helpline.
