Islamabad summer camps approved for private schools June 8–July 8, 2026; APPSCA welcomes the move to promote safe learning and educational continuity.

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training together with ICT-PEIRA has authorised private educational institutions in Islamabad to conduct summer programmes from June 8 to July 8, 2026, a decision aimed at maintaining learning momentum and offering constructive activities during the break. The Islamabad summer camps policy allows schools and colleges to organise structured academic and recreational sessions while observing health and safety protocols.

Dr. Abrar Hussain Malik, Central President of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPSCA), welcomed the announcement and described the move as timely and student-centred. He said the permission will help ensure educational continuity and provide students with positive, creative learning opportunities throughout the summer period.

Dr. Malik paid tribute to ICT-PEIRA Chairman Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, and Secretary PEIRA Muhammad Javed Iqbal for framing a balanced, student-friendly policy. He noted that leadership at ICT-PEIRA has emphasised safeguarding student health and safety alongside protecting the interests of private institutions and parents.

APPSCA expressed hope that the Ministry and PEIRA will continue to take practical measures to address challenges faced by the private education sector and to raise educational standards across Pakistan. The association reiterated its commitment to working with government bodies to promote quality education and student welfare while ensuring that Islamabad summer camps operate in a safe and conducive environment.

Dr. Malik said students stand to gain from structured activities that bolster academic skills and personal development, and he expressed confidence that the summer initiative will contribute to strengthening overall educational outcomes in the capital.
