Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chairman Capital Development Authority and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, met with the Ambassador of Lebanon Abdullaziz Issa at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday to discuss matters of mutual interest and ways to deepen cooperation between Islamabad and Beirut.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthen Islamabad Beirut ties and to expand city-level collaboration. Chairman CDA Randhawa expressed Pakistan’s respect for Lebanon and said he hoped to further solidify the sister city relationship between the two capitals.
The Lebanese envoy praised Islamabad’s greenery and cleanliness, describing the city as exceptionally beautiful. He commended the measures taken by CDA for Islamabad’s development, noting the role of the Margalla Hills in enhancing the capital’s natural landscape.
Chairman Randhawa outlined ongoing efforts to make Islamabad even greener and more attractive, and noted that the city was established in 1960 under a master plan. He also informed the ambassador that plans are under consideration to relocate diplomatic missions to the Diplomatic Enclave.
Randhawa added that the Diplomatic Enclave is being upgraded with additional recreational and sports facilities alongside broader beautification works.
