**CDA Chief Directs Acceleration and Quality Assurance in Islamabad’s Development Projects**

Islamabad’s major development projects are set to gain momentum following a high-level meeting at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Headquarters, where Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, instructed senior officials to expedite construction while upholding strict quality standards. The meeting involved key CDA members and senior city administration officers who collectively reviewed progress across multiple sectors and outlined a comprehensive plan to address ongoing challenges.

The meeting focused on evaluating the status of development works in sectors C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, I-12, as well as key infrastructure projects such as Park Enclave, Shaheen Chowk, Faizabad Interchange, and Kashmir Chowk. Chairman Randhawa emphasized that the pace of construction must be increased, but not at the expense of construction quality and adherence to standards.

To facilitate public engagement and swiftly resolve residents’ concerns, the Chairman directed relevant CDA directorates, especially the Deputy Commissioner, to establish fully staffed camp offices in areas where development is underway. These offices are expected to offer accessible forums for addressing public issues transparently and in accordance with the law.

Furthermore, the Chairman stressed the importance of modern infrastructure in all new sectors, with a particular focus on aesthetically pleasing lighting and improved roads. He instructed that main roads in new sectors be widened and that any encroachments or illegal constructions be removed in accordance with legal procedures. Special emphasis was placed on accelerating development and installing lighting in Park Enclave.

Addressing hurdles in CDA sector projects, Chairman Randhawa ordered that all obstacles to development must be resolved on a priority basis to ensure timely completion. Appreciating the outstanding performance of CDA’s commercial development wing, especially regarding commercial plots and shops, he called on the Finance Wing to allocate adequate funds for ongoing and future projects.

In addition, the Chairman directed that the Diplomatic Enclave should not only be upgraded but also uplifted to meet international standards, reflecting Islamabad’s strategic and diplomatic importance.

The meeting concluded with a strong resolve to improve service delivery and infrastructure for Islamabad’s residents, and to ensure transparent, high-quality development across the city’s expanding sectors.
