Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq extended felicitations to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, praising the Prophet Muhammad’s life as a timeless source of guidance and moral example. He emphasized the need to draw on the Prophet’s teachings in lawmaking and public life, urged the nation to support recent flood victims, called on parliamentarians to set aside differences in the face of national challenges, and expressed solidarity with the peoples of Palestine and Kashmir.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq described the Prophet’s life as a fountain of mercy, guidance and high moral standards that remains relevant for all eras. He said the 1,500-year tradition of celebrating the Prophet’s mercy and tolerance is a source of pride and that the Prophet transformed ignorance, hatred and injustice into knowledge, justice and tolerance.

Stress on moral values and public service featured prominently in the speaker’s remarks. He said a peaceful society depends on principles such as trustworthiness, integrity, justice and service to others. He urged lawmakers to take guidance from the Prophet’s example when framing legislation and said Parliament must remain the focal point for the public’s hopes and expectations.

Highlighting the role of education and character formation, Sadiq called for renewed efforts to introduce younger generations to the Prophet’s life and teachings. He said adherence to the Prophet’s exemplary conduct would help youth develop strong character and become custodians of Islamic values.

Marking Eid Milad-un-Nabi as a time for renewed commitment and self-reflection, the speaker appealed for special attention to those affected by recent floods. He noted many people have lost homes, livestock and livelihoods and said solidarity and assistance to flood victims are the responsibility of all citizens. He also urged members of Parliament to put aside political differences and work together to guide the nation through the crisis.

On international concerns, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq voiced Pakistan’s strong support for the struggles of the peoples of Palestine and Kashmir. He called on the international community to take steps to end injustices in those regions and affirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting peace, justice and human rights.

The speaker concluded his remarks with prayers for the homeland, for the flood-affected, and for the people of Palestine and Kashmir, seeking relief and guidance for all those in hardship.
