The Joint Forces Alliance was announced at Fatima Jinnah University in Rawalpindi during a dignified event organised by AL Wilayat Organization director Syed Ali Haider in collaboration with the inquiry committee under Section 3(2) of the Protection Against Harassment at Workplace Act 2010. The initiative aims to create a unified platform to address harassment and to ensure sustained protection for women across public and private institutions.
The newly formed Joint Forces Alliance seeks to bring together all agencies and forces working against harassment, strengthen coordination among stakeholders and establish clearer communication channels between citizens and institutions. Emphasis was placed on providing immediate assistance and reinforcing legal pathways for victims.
Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb attended as the guest of honour, while the panel featured key representatives including SHO Virtual Women Police Station Islamabad Maryam Nisar, Assistant Registrar FOSPAH Anisa Zaib, Women Protection Officer Aqila Tasneem and SHO Virtual Women Police Station Rawalpindi Bushra Batool. Former DG FIA Nawab ul Haq Nadeem participated as panel supervisor, guiding the alliance’s operational framework.
The panel of the Joint Forces Alliance will offer prompt guidance, legal assistance and protective measures to women in need, and aims to build greater trust and cooperation between security forces and the public. Officials highlighted the importance of accessible support services and clear referral mechanisms to address harassment cases effectively.
Following the announcement, the Joint Forces Alliance will conduct visits to educational institutions nationwide to raise awareness among students about available protections and legal rights, and to inform them of the practical steps for seeking help. Organisers said these outreach efforts are intended to empower young people and strengthen community-level prevention of harassment.
