KSrelief Distributes 6000 Food Packages in Azad Kashmir

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has completed the delivery of 6,000 food packages to families impacted by natural disasters in ten districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative provided essential food supplies to over 41,000 people, demonstrating the Saudi relief agency’s commitment to assisting disaster-affected communities in the region.

The distribution effort reached a wide area, delivering 325 food packages in Muzaffarabad, 542 in Jhelum Valley, 433 in Neelum, 796 in Kotli, 281 in Bhimber, 250 in Mirpur, 1,040 in Sudhnoti, 1,073 in Poonch, 934 in Haveli, and 326 in Bagh. Each package contained 95 kilograms of staple foods, including flour, cooking oil, sugar, and lentils, aimed at providing immediate relief to families struggling with the aftermath of natural calamities.

KSrelief coordinated the large-scale distribution in partnership with Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, the State Disaster Management Authority of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and the Hayat Foundation. These collaborations ensured that the aid was delivered efficiently and transparently to those most in need.

Director General of the AJK Disaster Management Authority, Sardar Waheed, attended a distribution ceremony in Muzaffarabad and expressed his gratitude to King Salman Relief and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He praised the timely and generous support, highlighting the effective cooperation between KSrelief and local authorities to assist affected families during a critical time.
