The Ministry of Human Rights and UNDP Pakistan gathered at the Prime Minister’s House to observe Human Rights Day, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to protecting and promoting human rights for all.
The ceremony brought together ambassadors and diplomats, representatives of UN agencies, civil society organizations and international NGOs alongside senior government officials, reflecting a shared resolve to deepen dialogue and cooperation on human rights matters.
Speakers underlined the theme Human Rights: Our Everyday Essentials, stressing that respect for rights must be integral to daily life and public policy. The event highlighted the need to mainstream human rights across governance, social services and community engagement to ensure tangible benefits for citizens.
Hosting the observance at the Prime Minister’s House signalled a high-level endorsement of continued collaboration between government bodies, UN partners and civil society.
