ISLAMABAD: The Multi Founders Group made a clean sweep in the Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society (MPCHS) elections for 2026, held at F-9 Park, Islamabad, on September 19, 2026.
A large number of voters participated in the polls, which were held after three years. The contest was between the Multi Founders Group and the Multi Ittehad Group.
According to the results, Multi Founders Group candidates won all key seats. Chaudhry Nadeem Sarwar was elected general secretary, Muhammad Nawaz Lali president, Muhammad Aslam Rao vice president, Syed Musaddiq Shahid finance secretary, Col (retd) Mahmood Awan information secretary, while Engineer Atiqur Rehman, Ms Kulsoom Rafique, Azizullah Chaudhry and Umair Bin Tahir were elected executive members.
Chaudhry Nadeem Sarwar secured 1,634 votes, Muhammad Nawaz Lali received 1,582 votes and Muhammad Aslam Rao obtained 1,596 votes. The highest number of votes polled by a candidate of the rival Multi Ittehad Group was 70.
Speaking to the media after his victory, newly elected General Secretary Chaudhry Nadeem Sarwar said the elections were held in a peaceful atmosphere by the grace of Allah. He said the group had served the members of the society in the past and would continue to work with the same mission of service in future.
He further said that Chaudhry Abdul Majeed’s vision was that even the rival side taking part in the democratic process should appear fully satisfied after the election process.
Newly elected President Muhammad Nawaz Lali thanked the voters and said he was grateful to all members who reposed confidence in him. He said no effort would be spared for the betterment of the society and the welfare of its members.
Newly elected Vice President Muhammad Aslam Rao said Multi Society was their home and they would always strive for its improvement. He said the confidence expressed by members in the leadership of Multi Society was backed by the tireless efforts and endeavours of Chaudhry Abdul Majeed.
The MPCHS elections had earlier been held on September 6, 2026, in which the Multi Founders Group won with a heavy majority. However, as the required quorum under the law was not completed, polling was held again on September 19. The Multi Founders Group again won all seats and completed a clean sweep.
The society thanked all voters and supporters for a peaceful electoral process and expressed the hope that the newly elected leadership would play its role for the welfare of members and the development of the society.
