Danyal Chaudhry urges unity and rejects anti-state narratives while praising military operations and condemning the May 9 attacks.

Barrister Danyal Chaudhry addressed a large public rally in Rawalpindi organized to show solidarity with the armed forces, insisting the nation stands firmly behind its military and will not tolerate narratives that undermine state institutions.

He warned that ‘suggesting dialogue with terrorists is not a policy option, it is a betrayal of every soldier who has laid down their life for this nation’, stressing that the armed forces are engaged in a definitive battle for Pakistan’s future and that anti-state rhetoric weakens national resolve.

Danyal Chaudhry dismissed political criticism of the military as a ‘dangerous folly’ that benefits the country’s adversaries, and he praised recent operational successes under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces General Asim Munir as critical to maintaining security and stability.

Reflecting on the events of May 9, he described the attacks on military installations as a ‘coordinated assault on national sovereignty’ orchestrated to serve external interests, saying that day exposed those who place political ambition above patriotism and that the nation has rejected that mindset.

The Parliamentary Secretary directly condemned political elements accused of aligning with foreign narratives, noting that ‘when a political party’s actions consistently garner praise from hostile Indian media, it ceases to be a mere opposition and becomes a conduit for anti-state agendas’, and urged citizens to remain vigilant against such influences.

Danyal Chaudhry called for unity and steadfast support for the armed forces, reiterating that Pakistan will not adopt policies that compromise security and that the public’s backing of the military is essential as operations continue to secure the country’s future.
