A delegation of bikers from Oman, during their meeting with the Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, emphasized enhancing cultural, tourism and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Oman. The delegation’s visit, according to the governor, will significantly strengthen bilateral relations and promote Pakistan’s positive image internationally.
Welcoming the Omani bikers at Governor House Lahore, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan appreciated the initiative, highlighting that such visits serve as influential platforms for closer international interactions. He expressed confidence that exchanges between both nations, particularly through sporting, cultural, and tourism activities, would further consolidate diplomatic ties and mutual understanding.
During the meeting, Governor Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s distinct identity as a fortress of Islam and a peaceful nuclear power. He emphasized Pakistan’s consistent advocacy for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic world on global forums. The governor underlined the strategic importance of Pakistan as the sole nuclear-armed state among Muslim nations, fully capable of deterring potential aggressors.
Reflecting on Pakistan-India history, Governor Khan recalled the challenges imposed by neighbouring India. He mentioned specifically that Pakistan had successfully defeated an adversary significantly larger than itself, rewriting the narratives of conventional warfare in modern times.
Governor Punjab further highlighted extensive opportunities for bilateral collaboration across multiple sectors, including sports, culture, and tourism.
