Pak-EPA has repurposed confiscated single-use plastic into durable green benches as part of a wider push to promote recycling and sustainable practices in Islamabad. The project highlights practical ways to divert plastic waste from landfills and public spaces by turning it into useful street furniture.

At the direction of the Director General of Pak-EPA, the newly produced benches were handed over to the Pakistan Meteorological Department for placement at prominent public locations. The collaboration with PMD aims to increase visibility of the initiative and encourage citizens to think differently about plastic waste and reuse.

The environment-friendly benches demonstrate how discarded materials can be transformed into long-lasting, functional products that serve local communities. By showcasing these green benches in public areas, Pak-EPA seeks to raise awareness about responsible plastic waste management and reinforce efforts toward a cleaner, more sustainable Pakistan.
