Pakistan’s boxing team achieved significant success at the 3rd Belt and Road International Boxing Gala in China, winning a total of four medals against strong international competition. Competing against 34 teams from 26 countries, the Pakistani boxers demonstrated skill and determination throughout the event.
Ayesha Mumtaz stood out by claiming a silver medal in the 48kg category, marking an impressive individual performance. Bronze medals were also secured by Maria Rind in the 50kg division, Malaika Zahid in the 54kg division, and Qudrat Ullah in the 57kg division. These achievements highlight the depth of talent within the team.
This successful campaign has significantly lifted the morale of the boxing squad and their supporters. It has also fueled optimism for even better results in upcoming international competitions, as the athletes continue to develop their skills and represent Pakistan on the global stage.
