The Pakistan Engineering Council held a special continuing professional development session for managing directors and chief executives in the construction industry, featuring a keynote address on the foundations of construction business and organisational operations. The event aimed to support senior industry leaders with practical insights and to reinforce the council’s efforts to strengthen the sector through professional development and reform.

The session was organised exclusively for MDs and CEOs of construction firms, providing a focused forum for senior decision-makers to discuss industry challenges and best practices. Topics targeted senior-level concerns such as company formation, business foundations, and operational management.

Keynote speaker Maqsood Ali Kamboh drew on extensive experience in both Pakistan and the United States. He has more than a decade of experience with Pakistan’s Government Building Department and over 25 years in the U.S. construction sector. As the founder of TSI Engineering Inc., based in California, he shared practical guidance on establishing and running construction businesses, covering strategic and operational considerations relevant to large-scale firms.

Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council, Engineer Waseem Nazir, addressed attendees and reiterated the council’s commitment to continuous professional development. He also highlighted PEC’s ongoing reform efforts aimed at strengthening regulatory and professional standards across Pakistan’s construction industry. The session underscored PEC’s role in equipping senior industry leaders with the knowledge needed to improve organisational performance and sectoral resilience.
