Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has extended warm congratulations to the nation on its 78th Independence Day, emphasizing the need to honor the sacrifices made by previous generations and to focus on economic strength for lasting freedom.
Sheikh highlighted the significance of Independence Day as a reminder of the remarkable sacrifices made by ancestors in the struggle for freedom. He described the peaceful and democratic movement that led to Pakistan’s creation as a unique and unparalleled chapter in history.
The FPCCI President paid tribute to the leaders and workers of the Pakistan Movement and acknowledged the countless sacrifices of those who contributed to the country’s independence. He noted that recent historic victories, such as Operation Bunyad-e-Marsus and the success in the Battle of Haq, have further elevated the spirit of this year’s celebrations.
Sheikh said that the recent conflict with India united the entire nation, reflecting a collective commitment to the country’s sovereignty. He added that the business community, including the FPCCI, recognizes and appreciates the tremendous sacrifices made by the armed forces of Pakistan.
