ISLAMABAD: An 11-year-old Pakistani student, Raja Muhammad Hamza Kethwal, has won five international silver medals at the World Scholars Cup held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hamza, a Class 5 student of Supernova School, represented Pakistan at the international competition, which was attended by around 2,200 students from different countries.
The young student delivered an outstanding performance in various contests, particularly debate and creative writing, and secured five silver medals through hard work, confidence and determination.
His achievement is considered more remarkable as he travelled to Thailand without his parents. He stayed there for 12 days with his school fellows before returning to Pakistan with medals, trophies and valuable international experience.
Hamza’s father, Dr Raja Muhammad Imran, expressed pride over his son’s achievement, saying that representing Pakistan at an international platform at such a young age was a moment of immense happiness and gratitude for the family.
He appreciated the efforts of Hamza’s mother, Dr Irum Kalsoom Niazi, for continuously supporting and encouraging him in his studies and extracurricular activities.
Dr Imran also acknowledged the contribution of Sir Baqi Ur Rehman, whose teaching and coaching played an important role in Hamza’s preparation. He also praised Miss Hasbella for preparing the students, accompanying them to Thailand and taking care of the young participants during the 12-day trip.
The family appreciated the directors and administration of Supernova School for providing students with the opportunity to take part in an international competition and represent Pakistan on the global stage.
Dr Raja Muhammad Imran said Hamza’s success was not only the result of his own hard work but also reflected the support of his family, teachers and educational institution.
He hoped that the young achiever would continue to excel in education and international competitions and become a source of pride for his family and Pakistan.
