The program opened with the recitation of the Quran and continued with naat and darood performances. Attendees offered prayers for the country’s safety and security. Formal Defence Day observances included a flag-raising ceremony and a salute to the flag, after which the regional officer delivered remarks on the life of the Prophet and the significance of Defence Day.

Following the speeches, Regional Officer Muhammad Irfan Butt joined guests and post staff in a cake-cutting ceremony and informal interaction. Visiting dignitaries praised the event and arrangements, calling the initiative a positive step toward strengthening police-community relations.

The Public Relations Department of the Punjab Highway Patrol, Rawalpindi Region, said the events reinforced the force’s commitment to national values and to maintaining strong ties with the communities it serves.
