ISLAMABAD: An important meeting was held to review the reorganisation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Minority Wing and discuss the future strategy for strengthening the party’s organisational structure across the country.
The meeting was jointly chaired by PML-Q Senior Political Adviser for Minority Affairs Arshad Gul and Secretary General Minority Affairs and Executive Member of the Central Working Committee (SWC) Irfan Salamat Khokhar.
According to details, the participants held detailed deliberations on the party’s organisational expansion across Pakistan, strengthening the Minority Wing and preparing a roadmap for the coming period.
The meeting reviewed party organisation in various districts and provinces, effective representation of minority communities and measures to take the message of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid to every part of the country. A comprehensive strategy was also discussed for this purpose.
The participants expressed the resolve to make the Minority Wing more active, organised and strong so that issues facing minority communities could be highlighted in an effective manner and they could be provided full representation on the party platform.
During the meeting, several proposals were discussed, including bringing the organisational structure in line with modern requirements, appointment of new office-bearers, formation of organisations at district and tehsil levels, increasing the participation of youth and women, and promoting contacts with different religious and social groups.
Speaking on the occasion, Arshad Gul said Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid had always believed in interfaith harmony, national unity and equal rights for all citizens. He said minority communities were an important part of national development and the party would provide them every possible opportunity to play a more effective role in the national mainstream.
Addressing the meeting, Irfan Salamat Khokhar said the Minority Wing was being organised on modern lines in accordance with the instructions of the party leadership. He said visits to different provinces and districts would be undertaken soon to activate the organisational structure across the country, strengthen contacts with workers and enhance the party’s activity at the public level.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to advance the mission of countrywide organisational stability, welfare of minority communities, national cohesion and public service under the banner of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, so that the party could be further strengthened as a strong and vibrant political force across Pakistan.
