Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, has inaugurated two significant art exhibitions at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). Curated by Asim Akhtar, these exhibitions highlight Pakistan’s rich artistic heritage while also engaging with contemporary social and political themes.

The first exhibition, titled “A Restrained Grace,” features a collection of drawings by the late Ustad Bashir ud Din, renowned for his mastery and notable contributions to Pakistan’s visual arts. The exhibit honors the artist’s legacy, showcasing his exceptional technique and lasting impact on the country’s art scene.

The second exhibition, “Bleeding Borders,” presents contemporary installations by acclaimed artist Amin Rehman. Through striking visuals, Rehman explores pressing socio-political issues, offering a platform for dialogue and reflection on these subjects.

During the inauguration ceremony, Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi praised the efforts of PNCA, organizers, and curators, emphasizing the importance of such events in celebrating national heritage and introducing the public to international artistic trends. He highlighted that these exhibitions play a vital role in raising cultural awareness and appreciation within society.

The minister also toured the galleries, where Amin Rehman provided personal insights into his artwork and explained the concepts behind his installations.

Both exhibitions are open to the public at PNCA until September 12.
