Police Martyrs Day 2025 Observed in Rawalpindi

A solemn ceremony was held at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial in Rawalpindi to mark Police Martyrs’ Day, honoring the sacrifices of police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Senior officials, including SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar, SP Headquarters, divisional SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs attended the event, alongside a large number of family members of the martyrs, representatives of the Peace Committee, and civil society members.

During the ceremony, participants lit candles at the memorial as a tribute to the fallen officers. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for the peace, security, and stability of the nation. Speakers emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by police personnel and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the families of the martyrs.

CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani stated that the martyrs are a source of pride for the police force and their sacrifices will never be forgotten. He described Police Martyrs’ Day as an occasion to pay homage to these brave individuals, noting their invaluable contributions to national security. He assured that the police stand by the families of the martyrs in all circumstances, recognizing them as a guiding light for the force. He pointed out that 122 police officers from Rawalpindi have laid down their lives while performing their duties.

SSP Operations Kashif Zulfiqar echoed these sentiments, describing Police Martyrs’ Day as a moment to renew the pledge to uphold their legacy. He credited the sacrifices of the martyrs for the peace enjoyed in the country today and promised that their memory would continue to be honored.
