Rawalpindi : (Raja Awais) Rawalpindi’s PP-16 seat is experiencing an increase in political tension as a result of the split that occurred within the Tehreek-e-Insaaf party into three different groups.
Because of this schism within the party, the candidates are now attempting to discredit one another before the most senior members of the party in the hopes of earning a spot on the party ticket.
The workers and public of PP-16 grew enraged when party Chairman Imran Khan made the decision to field only the candidates who had previously run for office. As a result, they opted to leave the party.
In this constituency, PML-N leader Ziaullah Shah is competing against three candidates from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including former MPA Ijaz Khan Jazzi, Shehryar Riaz, and Zohaib Khan Afridi.

Candidates now find themselves in a difficult position from which to campaign as a result of the growing number of candidates and political leaders, which has led to a rise in election campaigning and public relations.
The political factionalism in the constituency has resulted in problems for the people who work there and for the General public. PP-16 constituency candidate Zohaib Khan Afridi has submitted a petition to the board of directors of the party, asking that the top leadership of the party should conduct a survey in the constituency and that people are upset about Ijaz Khan Jazzi. Afridi claims that once Jazzi won the election, he turned off his mobile phone and his private secretaries made people’s issues even worse rather than helping them.
During a video conference with all candidates in Punjab, party chairman Imran Khan is said to have criticized the performance of Ijaz Khan Jazzi. According to the sources, Khan criticized Jazzi’s performance by stating that he had gathered a small number of people at the labor rally and had delivered zero performance.
Election campaigning and maintaining public relations within the constituency have both been made more difficult as a result of the deepening divisions among PTI candidates.
