Punjab Boxing Association Elects New Office Bearers

The Punjab Boxing Association has announced its newly elected office bearers following a general council meeting in Lahore. Chaudhry Mustasim will serve as chairman for the next four years, with Abid Hussain Boxer as president, Sharjeel Zia Butt as secretary general, and Muhammad Tariq Gujjar as treasurer.

Representatives from all divisions of Punjab participated in the meeting chaired by Abid Hussain Boxer. Additional members of the new leadership team include Chaudhry Muhammad Sultan Mahmood as co-chairman and senior vice president. The association also appointed vice presidents Master Muhammad Ramzan (Sahiwal), Anwar Ahmed (Gujranwala), Abdul Jabbar (Rawalpindi), Gulzar Ahmed (Faisalabad), and Professor Safdar Ali Asif (Lahore). Abdul Jabbar will also serve as associate secretary, with Samreen Altaf (Rawalpindi) joining as an executive committee member, and Khaula Athar as lady associate secretary.

Other appointments include Jalal Hadid (Sargodha), Syed Qanbar Ali Hamdani (Bahawalpur) as executive committee members, Haji Abdul Khaliq Mughal as media coordinator, and Abdul Wabab as IT in-charge.

Chairman Chaudhry Mustasim emphasized the association’s commitment to identify and promote talented boxers in Punjab. President Abid Hussain Boxer expressed gratitude to all council members and welcomed the chairman’s pledge to organize a provincial-level training camp at Punjab Stadium for young athletes. Treasurer Tariq Gujjar stated that efforts will be made to secure sponsorships in order to provide scholarships and further support the development of boxing in the province.
