Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat held an online meeting with CEOs of District Education Authorities across the province, appreciating their diligent efforts but underscoring that actual performance should reflect in measurable results and accurate statistics.
During the virtual meeting, the Education Minister congratulated officers for their committed hard work and dedication. However, he emphasized clearly that true success is determined not merely by effort, but by tangible outcomes and precise, transparent data.
Minister Hayat specifically urged all district authorities to eliminate fake student enrolments, stressing that accurate enrolment numbers are absolutely essential for effectively assessing educational improvements and resource allocation. He reminded officials that achieving defined enrollment targets is obligatory and crucial for the province’s educational progress.
Furthermore, the Minister underlined the importance of completing the ongoing “Schools of Eminence” project within designated deadlines. Officers were advised clearly that adherence to timelines was mandatory for successful execution and timely enhancement of educational quality.
He also categorically stated that providing essential facilities, constructing additional classrooms, and urgently repairing weak or damaged school buildings were to be treated not merely as priorities, but rather as core responsibilities. Minister Hayat asserted that ensuring safe and conducive learning environments is a fundamental duty of educational authorities.
In closing remarks, Rana Sikandar Hayat reiterated that moving forward, genuine accountability would rely upon concrete results, urging district education leaders to adopt a proactive and results-oriented approach in fulfilling their responsibilities.
