Punjab launches Cataract Support program with CBM and COAVS in Lahore to boost cataract treatment and public awareness across the province.

In Lahore, Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Health and Population, Khawaja Imran Nazir, attended the inaugural ceremony of the Cataract Support program as the guest of honour.

The initiative was organised in collaboration with CBM and COAVS, bringing international partnership into provincial healthcare efforts. The Cataract Support program is positioned to increase awareness of eye diseases and provide enhanced treatment options for those affected by cataract across Punjab.

Speaking at the event, Khawaja Imran Nazir said, “Under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the government is taking practical steps to deliver quality medical services to the public.” He added that the Cataract Support program will serve as a milestone in addressing eye health and improving outreach for cataract patients.

The minister praised the event arrangements and emphasised that cooperation with international organisations will support public welfare and strengthen the delivery of better health facilities in the province.
