Saif ul Muluk Drama Shines at PNCA Islamabad

A stage adaptation of the renowned folk tale “Saif-ul-Malook” captivated audiences at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad, presented in collaboration with Dolphin Communication. Directed by celebrated author and CEO of Dolphin Communication, Asma Butt, the play drew a large and diverse gathering from various sectors of society.

Member of the National Assembly, Shazia Fareed, attended the event as chief guest and praised Asma Butt’s creative contributions. In her remarks, Fareed commended the transformation of the classic tale into a compelling stage performance and stressed the importance of encouraging artists, whom she described as inherently sensitive individuals. She congratulated the entire team for the successful execution of the play.

Other notable guests included PNCA Program Organizer Dr. Waqar Azim, Judge Raheel Yousafzai, Sain Ejaz, Naveed Kanwal, Naeem Pasha, Shakeel Awan, Abid Abbasi, and others, all of whom lent their support to the occasion.

The production featured talented actors from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, with lead roles performed by Kaleem Khan, Nirmal Ali, Arshad Khan, Shazia Adeeb, Jhalak Ali, Reiha Yousaf, Shama Adil, Afzal Latifi, Ahil Ejaz, Shabbir Shah, Aslam Mughal, Arshad Mehmood, Mehboob Ilyas, Muhammad Ali, Mumtaz Khan, Farooq Jani, and Noor, among others. A musical interlude featured Sufi poetry by Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, rendered in the melodious voice of Afzal Latifi, which deeply moved the audience.

Throughout the drama, the exceptional direction and performances mesmerized attendees, who responded with a standing ovation at the conclusion. Asma Butt expressed gratitude for her team’s dedication, attributing the play’s success to their collective efforts and promising to continue producing outstanding theatrical works in the future.

The event concluded with enthusiastic applause, underscoring appreciation for the cast and crew’s achievements.
