Skandic Technologies has been named Technology Innovation Partner to the National Cyber Emergency Response Team of Pakistan under the Cyber Innovation Ecosystem (CIE) initiative after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at National CERT headquarters in Islamabad.
The MoU was signed by Ms. Adeela Waqar, Director Labs, National CERT, and Mr. Farooq Khan, CEO Skandic Technologies, in the presence of Director General National CERT Dr. Haider Abbas, TI, together with officials and representatives from both organisations.
As Technology Innovation Partner, Skandic Technologies will work closely with National CERT on developing cybersecurity laboratories in partnership with leading industry players to create practical testing and training environments crucial for national readiness.
The collaboration will also focus on establishing structured mechanisms for cyber threat intelligence sharing that align with national security policies, jointly advancing tools for proactive threat detection and cybersecurity analytics, and supporting nationwide awareness and capacity building programmes.
The Cyber Innovation Ecosystem aims to bring government institutions, SECP-registered private entities, academia and technology innovators together to strengthen Pakistan’s cyber resilience and nurture technological excellence across sectors.
Officials said the partnership is intended to deliver sustained research, structured knowledge exchange and technical collaboration at both national and international levels, positioning Skandic Technologies and National CERT to enhance incident response and preparedness for critical infrastructure and public services.
