Rehmatullah Khan Nurzai, president of the Balochistan Mix Martial Arts Association, said the STL3 MMA event was scheduled to commence on May 15, 2026 at Ayub Stadium in Quetta. Players from across the country are expected to take part, he told reporters at the Quetta Press Club.
Speaking at the press conference, Nurzai said it would be the first time in Balochistan’s history that mixed martial arts fights are held inside a cage, a milestone he believes will elevate the sport locally and provide new platforms for emerging athletes. He added that sporting events like STL3 MMA can be used to bring the province’s diverse communities closer together.
Also attending the briefing were Osama Mehboob Awan, secretary general of the Pakistan Mix Martial Arts Federation, international MMA champion Nur Muhammad, national MMA champion Sajjad Tarin and other officials who expressed support for the tournament and its potential to boost mixed martial arts in the region.
