Two critically injured in electricity blast during solar system maintenance in Rawalpindi

Rescue 1122 shifted two critically injured men to Holy Family Hospital after an alleged electricity blast during solar system maintenance in Rawalpindi.

RAWALPINDI: Two men suffered serious burn injuries after an alleged electricity blast occurred during maintenance work on a solar system at a house near Butt Chowk on National Park Road in Gulistan Colony’s Abdul Ghaffar Street.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, three emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported. Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured men before shifting them to Holy Family Hospital in critical condition.

Rescue 1122 said 45-year-old Kifayatullah sustained burns on around 65 per cent of his body, while 30-year-old Mubeen suffered burns on approximately 35 per cent of his body. Both victims were stated to be in critical condition.

Rescue authorities advised citizens to adopt proper safety precautions while carrying out maintenance of solar systems and electrical equipment to avoid such incidents.
