SHARP attended the inauguration of the new United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan building in Islamabad, marking a significant moment as USEFP celebrates 75 years of fostering education and exchange between the United States and Pakistan. The facility is set to serve as a central hub for student support, academic exchanges, and initiatives that deepen people-to-people ties.

During the ceremony, Mr. Mudassar engaged with senior U.S. Embassy and USEFP officials to discuss shared priorities in education and future collaboration. Conversations included Mr. Andy Halus, Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy, Ms. Sherry Keneson-Hall, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Peter K. Moran, Executive Director of USEFP, and Ms. Karina Keating, Branch Chief of the Office of Academic Exchange Programs.

Discussions highlighted scholarship opportunities, exchange programs, and practical ways to expand academic cooperation for Pakistani students and institutions. The new building in Islamabad is expected to streamline access to information, advising, and program administration for prospective scholars and university partners across Pakistan.

The event underlined the long-standing partnership between Pakistan and the United States in advancing academic excellence, cultural understanding, and youth empowerment. SHARP expressed interest in building on these discussions to develop collaborative programs that promote leadership, learning, and cross-cultural engagement for young Pakistanis.

As USEFP Islamabad begins operations in the new facility, stakeholders expressed optimism that the enhanced physical presence will strengthen program delivery and create more opportunities for students, educators, and institutions to engage in bilateral exchange and cooperation.
