The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Gilgit-Baltistan branch has launched a Youth Club at Muslim Ideal Secondary School and College in Gilgit as part of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program. The initiative aims to empower young people to engage in volunteerism and humanitarian service within their community.
The launch event brought together thirty participants, including both students and teachers. During the session, participants were introduced to the origins and mission of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and learned about PRCS’s ongoing community initiatives.
A key part of the event was the election of the Youth Club Cabinet, where participants selected representatives to lead future activities. The event concluded with an oath-taking ceremony, formally inducting the new youth leaders. These leaders will now be responsible for spearheading volunteer projects and promoting humanitarian values in their school and the wider community.
