Omar Ahmed has been elected as Director for South Asia on the IMMAF Police Sports Commission and has secured a nomination for the IMMAF Sustainability Awards, giving Pakistan a direct voice within global mixed martial arts governance.
The Police Sports Commission links IMMAF with law enforcement and policing bodies worldwide to integrate MMA and combat-sport training into police education, improve officers’ fitness, discipline and poise under pressure, and promote international exchanges and competitions across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Omar Ahmed’s new role will help open these exchanges to Pakistani athletes, trainers and coaches.
Educated in London with dual master’s degrees in Strategic Communication and Security & Risk Management, Omar Ahmed built a career across security, sports and entrepreneurship. He founded Train2Secure, which served as a major security contractor for the London Olympics, and later returned to lead Parwest Security, one of Pakistan’s largest private security firms handling high-risk national assignments.
Through his Real Fight Project, Omar Ahmed has applied combat sports to support youth mental health, leadership and resilience, earning recognition with a nomination at the IMMAF Sustainability Awards in Georgia. The initiative is cited for transforming MMA into a vehicle for social development and youth empowerment in Pakistan.
Omar Ahmed has also worked directly with national institutions, designing and delivering unarmed combat training for Pakistan’s Special Services Group and the National Police Academy, integrating MMA-based techniques into official curricula to strengthen physical and psychological resilience among security personnel.
Beyond institutional work, Omar Ahmed has personally financed and sponsored Pakistani fighters for Asian and World Championships, intervening to resolve visa and logistical hurdles, negotiating with federations, and ensuring Pakistan remained represented internationally. His efforts helped the national team secure two medals at the IMMAF World Championships in Georgia despite travel restrictions, and facilitated Pakistani participation in events in Russia, Bahrain and the UAE, including a landmark bout against India.
With this IMMAF appointment, Omar Ahmed becomes a global ambassador for Pakistan’s martial arts community, committed to building a self-sustaining MMA ecosystem that creates professional pathways, employment and national pride while linking local talent with international opportunity.
