ICHPERE 2025 concluded successfully at the Health Services Academy Shahpur Campus in Islamabad, bringing together national and international experts, scholars, researchers and policymakers to strengthen health education and research in Pakistan.
The two-day event, organised in collaboration with COMSTECH and the PRIME Institute of Health Sciences, featured keynote addresses, scientific sessions and interactive discussions focused on advancing healthcare education, promoting innovative research models and fostering entrepreneurship within the health sector.
Senior academic and health leaders who attended the inaugural ceremony included Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan Vice Chancellor HSA Islamabad, Major General Tariq Zamir HI(M) Retd, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj President PM&DC, Major General Professor Dr. Najam Saqib Khan HI(M) T.Bt Retd Dean Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences and Principal Islamic International Medical College, Prof. Dr. Janet Grant University College London Medical School UK, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rashid Pro-Director Education LSHTM UK and a wide range of vice chancellors, deans and principals from Pakistani institutions.
Participants highlighted the critical role of academic leadership and institutional collaboration in meeting contemporary health challenges. A special acknowledgment was extended to Mr. Abdul Wajid Chairman PRIME Institute of Health Sciences Islamabad for his support and ongoing commitment to capacity building in health education.
Throughout the conference experts repeatedly stressed integrated learning, innovation, data-driven policy development and multidisciplinary partnerships as key drivers to improve healthcare delivery. Delegates from universities, research bodies and professional organisations shared practical experiences and showcased progressive initiatives that underline the long-term potential of health-sector entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
