Millia Park beautification continues under Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi with new lighting, plant care and nursery work enhancing city parks and green spaces.

The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi has stepped up efforts to enhance city parks, carrying out focused maintenance and decorative work under the direction of Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha and following special instructions from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Millia Park beautification is part of a wider campaign to improve public green spaces across Rawalpindi and align with the Punjab government’s vision for better urban amenities.

At historic Liaqat Bagh, teams have concentrated on cleaning, pruning and planting colourful flower beds that now present a spring-like scene despite seasonal challenges. Staff at the park nursery are tending plants and flowers suited to colder weather, ensuring a steady supply of healthy saplings for city parks and sustaining the overall horticultural needs of Rawalpindi.

Millia Park has been specially decorated with multi-coloured electric lights, creating attractive night-time views that are drawing residents to the area. The lighting design and ongoing care have made Millia Park beautification visible to visitors after dusk, and the public response has been appreciative of the timely enhancements and the pleasant ambience the park now offers.

Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said the horticulture team is working with diligence and responsibility to maintain cleanliness and aesthetic standards so citizens can enjoy well-equipped parks. He added that further projects will be introduced to continue improving recreational facilities across the city in line with provincial priorities.

The Horticulture Agency emphasises routine plant care, nursery management and park sanitation to preserve the improvements already made, while planning additional measures to sustain and expand beautification efforts across Rawalpindi.
