Motorway Police inspects GT Road from 26 Chungi to Sangjani, directing effective traffic management and urging officers to serve with public spirit.

Islamabad on 20 April 2026. Inspector General of the Motorway Police Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry conducted a field inspection along the National Highway (GT Road) covering the stretch from 26 Chungi to the Sangjani toll plaza. The visit included close review of multiple special duty points to assess on-ground readiness.

During the inspection the Motorway Police examined traffic control measures, staffing at duty posts and coordination at the toll plaza. The IG issued clear and actionable directions aimed at making traffic management more effective and organized across the inspected stretch.

Emphasizing service to road users, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry urged officers to carry out their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism. He stressed that operations should be conducted with a spirit of public service to ensure safety and smooth movement on the GT Road.

Follow-up checks and improved coordination between on-site teams and toll staff were ordered to ensure timely implementation of the directives and to maintain orderly traffic flow on this key Islamabad corridor.
