Atif Akram Sheikh, president of the FPCCI, paid tribute to the poet of the East Allama Iqbal on his death anniversary, praising his role in awakening a sense of selfhood, awareness and unity among Muslims of the subcontinent. Sheikh highlighted how Iqbal inspired generations to pursue knowledge and collective purpose.
Sheikh said Allama Iqbal illuminated the path for the nation and that his ideas continue to serve as a guiding light for Pakistan. He called on the youth to draw inspiration from Iqbal’s message of selfhood and learning to navigate contemporary challenges.
Emphasizing the relevance of Iqbal’s thought to national progress, Sheikh noted that the poet’s philosophy has key importance for Pakistan’s development, self-reliance and social cohesion. He urged stakeholders to translate Iqbal’s ideas into policies and actions that strengthen the economy and national unity.
On this day of remembrance, Sheikh said the entire nation salutes Allama Iqbal for his intellectual and national contributions and reaffirmed the need to apply Iqbal’s teachings to build a prosperous, resilient Pakistan.
