FDE completes timely posting of Heads of Institutions across 113 schools in Islamabad to strengthen leadership and ensure a smooth academic session start.

The Federal Directorate of Education has completed the timely posting of Heads of Institutions to cover 113 educational institutions in Islamabad and surrounding areas, aligning leadership appointments with the start of the new academic session. The initiative, guided by Secretary Education Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, aims to secure continuity in academic planning and administration across the capital.

The Director General approved proposals submitted by all six Area Education Officers after a careful review of institutional needs and candidate suitability. The posting exercise reflects a balanced approach, with 51 male and 62 female Heads of Institutions appointed to ensure gender-inclusive leadership at school level.

Sector distribution shows Nilore with 45 institutions, Bhara Kahu 26, Sihala 20, Tarnol 10, Urban-I 8 and Urban-II 4, providing broad coverage across Islamabad. A central consideration in the process was placing Heads of Institutions within their respective sectors, preferably close to their residences, to facilitate prompt administrative response and stronger engagement with local school communities.

By prioritising proximity and sector-based appointments, the FDE expects improved administrative efficiency, reinforced institutional ownership and better academic outcomes. The timely placement of school leadership underscores the directorate’s commitment to effective governance and strengthened academic management as the new session begins.
